Potomac Baptist Church - Passion for God, Compassion for People

Romans 12:7-9
If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

Stu Solomon - Elder

Stu had the great privilege of being surrounded by strong Christians during his upbringing. With several generations of Baptist pastors in his family tree, Christ was a regular member of the family. In 1972 in Lampasas, Texas, God used a Sunday School teacher to lead Stu to Christ, at which time Stu joined Christ’s family.

After returning to California during high school, Stu went to Baylor and studied business. Upon graduation he joined the corporate world as a consultant and has spent his career helping other companies improve their businesses. Stu enjoys the variety of relationships and challenges that God provides every day.

During his freshman year at Baylor, Stu met Gina Webster during a band trip to Louisiana. She subsequently came to know Christ, and upon graduation they were married. Gina has been joyfully teaching in women’s ministries for the past 10 years. The Solomon’s spent their early years in California, before moving to Pennsylvania and then to Northern Virginia. Stu and Gina have 3 native Californian children: Melissa (born 1990), Michelle (1991), and Jeffrey (1993).
